What this tool reads
- Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer projects – including MakerWorld downloads with several plates, parts and painted colours (the paint_color data).
- PrusaSlicer projects – multi-material painting (mmu_segmentation) and per-volume extruders.
- Filament colours from the project settings, so the preview looks like your print.
How to split a 3MF by colour
- Drop the .3mf above. Every filament is listed with its colour and triangle count.
- Choose the output: one STL or 3MF per filament (ZIP), or one coloured GLB, PLY or OBJ.
- Click Download.
Parts vs painted colours
If the colours come from separate parts (one body per colour – common on MakerWorld), each filament file is a closed, printable solid: import them together into Cura, Simplify3D or an older slicer and assign one extruder each. If the colours were painted onto the surface, the per-filament files are surfaces: perfect for rendering, AR, CNC or laser work, while multi-material printing should stay in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer.
Need a plain, single-colour model? Use 3MF to STL – it reads the same slicer projects and keeps the solids watertight.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a Bambu 3MF with colours to STL?
Yes. STL has no colour, so you get either one STL with the whole model (3MF to STL) or one STL per filament here.
Does it work with MakerWorld downloads?
Yes – MakerWorld files are Bambu Studio projects. All plates and parts are read with their positions.
Which file keeps the colours for rendering?
GLB (materials) and PLY (vertex colours) keep them in one file; OBJ keeps them in an MTL file.
Is it free?
Yes – up to 5 downloads a day free, unlimited with Pro.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
