How to open a 3MF file online

  1. Drop the .3mf file into the box above or click Choose file.
  2. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, right-drag or two-finger drag to pan.

  4. Pick an output format on the right to convert and download.

What the viewer shows

  • Dimensions of the bounding box (X × Y × Z) in millimetres.
  • Triangle count and number of parts.
  • Surface area and volume (for closed meshes).
  • Watertight check – whether the mesh is closed, which matters for 3D printing.

About 3MF files

3MF (3D Manufacturing Format) was developed by the 3MF Consortium (Microsoft, HP, Autodesk, Ultimaker and others) since 2015. It is a zipped XML package that stores meshes together with units, colours, materials and print settings. It is the modern replacement for STL in 3D printing – PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and Cura save projects as 3MF.

Desktop programs that open 3MF

  • PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and Cura
  • Windows 3D Builder
  • Fusion
  • Blender (with an add-on)

Does it work on iPhone and Android?
