How to convert PNG to STL
- Drop the PNG into the box above.
- Set the width in millimetres and the minimum/maximum thickness.
- Tick Invert heights if your logo is dark on a light background and you want the logo raised.
- Download the STL and slice it.
Getting crisp edges
Heightmaps follow pixels, so edges are as sharp as the image resolution and the Detail setting. For logos with clean outlines, an SVG gives perfectly sharp results – use the SVG to STL tool if you have a vector version.
Frequently asked questions
Are transparent pixels supported?
Yes. Transparent pixels are treated as white, so in relief mode they become the lowest level and in lithophane mode the thinnest.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The image is turned into a 3D model inside your browser; it never leaves your device.
